The origin story

It all started in my grandmother’s garden.

I grew up watching her cut the most beautiful, fragrant roses. I spent years working in project management before making flowers my full-time thing — but that early love stuck, and it’s still what I want every arrangement to be: something alive, a little wild, and completely yours.

These days I run Lavender & Lily out of my Austin studio, sourcing from local wholesale shops and Austin flower farms, and turning couples’ visions into lush, joyful florals.

When I’m not elbow-deep in ranunculus, you’ll find me with my husband, our daughter, and our two cats — probably eating Mexican food, sipping a craft cocktail, or watching a true crime documentary. (Sometimes all three.)

Design philosophy

Perfectly unstructured florals for all of life’s celebrations.

A client once described my style as “gorgeous, sort of wild and perfectly unstructured” — and honestly? I’ve never heard it said better. I love movement, color, texture, and those little unexpected touches that take an arrangement from pretty to unforgettable.

And the process should feel as good as the flowers look. My whole approach is collaborative: I want to hear about your vision, your favorite blooms, your colors — then make the floral design process the most fun, least stressful part of planning.

English Gardens

No one quite creates a backyard paradise like the Brits — I love the whimsical, yet sophisticated style of traditional English garden design. In 2024 I was lucky enough to attend the Chelsea Flower Show, and I've been dreaming about going back ever since.

Prints & Patterns

Everything from William Morris to Orla Kiely to Liberty of London — I love a good print, and you'll often see that reflected in my personal wardrobe. Designing with flowers is like getting to create your own custom print every time.

The Ocean

I love snorkeling and scuba diving. The textures and colors you find in a coral reef are unlike anything else I've ever seen. Look closely at some of the more eclectic, funky flowers out there and you'll start to see the similarities — like how celosia resembles brain coral.
